Our Mission
“To unite compassion and action, building a spirit of service that uplifts families and strengthens communities.”
At IBEW Local 1260 Charitable Fund, our mission is to support working families, strengthen communities, and provide relief in times of need. Rooted in the values of solidarity and service, we channel resources into programs that uplift individuals and inspire collective well-being.
WHO WE ARE
Founded in Honolulu, Hawaii, the IBEW Local 1260 Charitable Fund represents a tradition of giving back to the very communities where our union members live and work. Under the leadership of Leroy Chincio Jr., the Fund was established as a nonprofit initiative to ensure that support extends beyond the workplace and into the lives of families in need.
Though our annual gross receipts remain under $50,000, every dollar is directed toward impactful, community-driven projects that create lasting change across the islands.
WHAT WE DO
We serve the community through a wide range of charitable efforts, focusing on both immediate relief and long-term empowerment:
Family & Worker Assistance – providing emergency support for union families and community members facing hardship.
Youth & Education Programs – scholarships, mentorships, and school supply drives to invest in the next generation.
Community Outreach – volunteering, organizing charitable events, and supporting local nonprofits.
Disaster Relief – mobilizing aid quickly for families impacted by hurricanes, wildfires, or other natural disasters.
Health & Wellness Support – helping families access healthcare resources and promoting wellness in the community.
Our Core Beliefs
Solidarity: Standing together to lift up one another.
Service: Giving back to the communities that support us.
Compassion: Meeting needs with empathy and dignity.
Integrity: Stewarding donations with transparency and accountability.
Hope: Creating pathways for brighter futures across Hawaii.
Looking Forward
The IBEW Local 1260 Charitable Fund is committed to expanding its reach across the Hawaiian islands. In the years to come, we plan to:
Grow our scholarship program for students pursuing technical and trade careers.
Launch new partnerships with local organizations focused on youth development and sustainability.
Establish a rapid response network for future natural disasters.
Host annual community events that celebrate Hawaiian culture while raising funds for those in need.
Our vision is clear: to be a lasting force for good, ensuring that every family we touch feels supported, valued, and inspired.
